Katharine P. "Kat" Rickey

Kat Rickey is a Paramedic/FTO and EMS Educator with over 25 years service in racetrack, industrial, private, and fire-based E-911 response, critical care transfers, TQM, and EMS curriculum development. The owner of Pre-MED, inc., she also served on the Executive Board for Prehospital Perspectives Magazine, and has been both Secretary and President of the New Hampshire Association of EMT's. Kat holds Instructor and/or Trainer credentials with seven national EMS and public safety/health agencies. In addition to presenting at several EMS conferences, she has authored/co-authored, reviewed, and/or edited several journal articles, EMS books, and textbooks.

Currently an EMS Specialist for the NH Bureau of EMS, Kat is an EMS Instructor, Exam Coordinator, and NREMT BLS/ALS Evaluator. A member of the NEMSM National Moment of Silence Committee, she is also the ALS Educator for Becker Training Associates, and Guest Faculty for Starfire EMS, as well as the NHCTC - Laconia. Kat is the proud wife of a FF/EMT-I, as well as the mother of two - an EMT and an EMT/LEO.
